The Principality of Andorra is located in the heart of the Pyrenees, between France and Spain. The highest point is at 2,942 m (peak of Comapedrosa) and the lower at 840 m (spanish-andorran border). Andorra is divided into three Y-shaped valleys and its main rivers are the North Valira and East Valira, which after their junction at Escaldes- Engordany become the Great Valira. The country has an extension of 468 sq. km, and a population of 72.320 inhabitants.
