Passport & Visa Info
The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate.

Passports
Required, but NOT by the following: 1) Holders of a National Identity Card or a passport expired a maximum of 6 years issued to nationals of Cameroon, Central African Rep, Chad, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Niger & Togo.
Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for 6 months.
Visas
The following DO NOT require a visa: 1) Nationals of Chad 2) For stays up to 3 months by nationals of Nigeria 3) Those as noted under `Passports' 4) Holders of a re-entry or residence permit.
Notes: With the exception of travel solely to N'djamena, a special permit must be obtained from the Minister of the Interior for travel to all other parts of Chad. This is only obtainable on arrival & processing can take a considerable time.
Air Transit
Required by all except those as noted above and: 1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country within 48 hours by the same or first connecting aircraft without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation.
Re-entry Permits
Required by returning foreign residents in addition to a valid passport and residence permit.
Exit Permits
Required by: 1) Nationals of Chad 2) Foreign nationals whose stay exceeds 24 hours.
