- Weather: Egypt all the year has a very nice weather make it one from the best weather countries, where you can enjoy the sunny dry sun in the summer and the wormy sunny winter. The Air Temperature in the summer vary from 35(Degrees C) to 40(Degrees C), and in winter from 23(Degrees C) to 28(Degrees C).
- Clothing: In Summer, Light Cotton garments and in winter woolens. Respectively, in the evenings a sweater and an overcoat may be needed.
- In all seasons light walking shoes and a hat are essential and avoid very brief clothing as the norm is semi conservative attire. Handy items includes: sun-glasses, sun oil, a pocket torch and binoculars.
- Business Hours: Banks are closed on Fridays and Saturdays and are open during the rest of the days from 8.00 to 2.00 pm. Most embassies are closed on Sundays. Shops are generally open from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm and even more.
- Shopping: Egypt markets offers many "best buys", such as silver, leather, gold, mother of pearl, brass, copper and alabaster. Bargaining is expected in basaars such as the Khan El- Khalili, but in regular shops prices are fixed.
