Weather

Climate: Generally the weather is changeable throughout the year. Summers are usually cool and cloudy with short periods of fine weather. Winter temperatures at sea level are unexpectedly mild however much rain falls as snow, and mountain peaks stay snow covered throughout the year. Autumn and winter are the wettest seasons.

Clothing: Lightweights for warmer months with extra woollens for the cooler evenings. Medium to heavyweights in winter. Rainwear is recommended throughout the year.
