The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate.

Passport Validity: Passport must be valid 6 months from date of entry.
Visas
The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Malawi.
2) British subjects being `Citizen of the United Kingdom & Colonies' & British Protected Person.

Malawi Embassy or Consulate in UK
British nationals do not require visas for tourist visits. Visitors are usually granted 30-day tourist visas on arrival; these can be renewed up to a maximum of 90 days at the cost of 5,000 Malawi Kwacha.
