The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate.

Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Nationals of Nepal holding proof of identity.
2) Nationals of India holding a Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India, or Identify Card with photograph issued by the Central or State Government of India.

Health risks
Nepal is a developing country with extensive tourist facilities, which vary in quality according to price and location. The capital is Kathmandu.
CRIME : Although the rate of violent crime is low in Kathmandu , street crime is prevalent in Kathmandu as well as in other areas frequented by foreigners.
Weather
Climate: There is a wide range of climatic conditions in Nepal from tropical forest to snowcapped mountains and glaciers. The main rainy season is between late Jun-Sep when temperatures are at their hottest. The remainder of the year experiences warm and settled weather. Kathmandu has a pleasant climate with temperatures ranging from 18-33°C. Rainfall decreases from east to west.
Clothing: Lightweight with warmer clothing in evening for summer. Warm clothing is required between Oct-Mar.
