UNWTO and UQ conducting study on best practices of eco-tourism in Asia

Compendium of Best Practices in Ecotourism , Nepal

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Regional Programmer for Asia and the Pacific in collaboration with The University of Queensland are conducting a study on Best Practices in Eco-tourism: A Compendium of Best Practices and Guidelines for Eco-tourism in the Asia Pacific Region. The Compendium will contain case studies Of best practice Eco-tourism organizations in the Asia Pacific Region and will be launched by UNWTO on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2010.

As part of this study UNWTO and The University of Queensland/ are seeking submissions of best practice examples of both public and private sector Eco-tourism organizations in the Asia Pacific Region.

The Compendium will serve as an excellent promotional tool for the nominated local government, destination and/or tourism operators. This will help in international recognition as possessing leading Eco-tourism initiatives in the Asia Pacific Region by the world’s leading tourism organization.
