The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate.
Passports
Required, but NOT by the following:
1) Nationals of Nepal holding proof of identity.
2) Nationals of India holding a Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India, or Identify Card with photograph issued by the Central or State Government of India.
Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for 6 months.
Visas
The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of Nepal
2) Nationals of India
Notes: Srilankan pilgrims visiting Lumbini can obtain a visa on arrival for stays up to 15 days.

Nepal Embassy or Consulate in UK
Visas are required for travel to Nepal. If you wish to stay for more than 60 days you can extend your visa up to 30 days by applying to the Nepalese Department of Immigration at Bhrikuti Mandap (adjacent to the Tourism Development Board and opposite City Hall)
