The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate.

Required by all.
Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for 6 months from date of arrival.
Visas
The following REQUIRE a visa:
1) Nationals of Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Haiti, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Korea (North), Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Peru, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Vietnam & Yemen.
Notes: Nationals of countries that do not require a visa will however require a Tourist Card which can be issued on arrival.
Air Transit
Required by all except:
1) Persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 6 hours provided holding confirmed onward tickets.

Nicaragua Embassy or Consulate in UK
British nationals can visit Nicaragua for up to three months without needing a visa. However, entry into Nicaragua may be refused and airlines may not carry you if you hold a passport with less than six months validity or do not have an onward ticket out of Nicaragua. There is also a 5 US American Dollar entry fee.
