Weather
Climate: Temperatures are high throughout the year, sea breezes help to counteract the humidity, so it is rarely unbearable. As this is the most mountainous island in the Caribbean, higher areas are much cooler and wetter than lowland areas. The north coast is wetter than the south, which is wetter than most other Caribbean islands during the rainy season from May-Oct, when hurricanes may also occur dipping below 0°C can occur during winter months (Dec-Apr) in mountain areas. There are two rainy seasons, the heaviest from May-Aug, the lightest from Nov-Dec.
